Welcome back. If you didn't start earlier, this week is the traditional starting date for school in the U.S. I have been asked for some lesson plans for writing, particularly in the early grades. If you have special requests, please don't hesitate to ask.
Try the MarcoPolo site for all educational lesson plans. For writing lessons, I went to the search engine, clicked on language arts and the grade I wanted and came up with some great links to lesson plans;

MarcoPolo is a great resource. It is aligned to 30 states' standards. You can be certain using this location that you are meeting the educational objectives in your state. If your state is not aligned to the MarcoPolo site, rest assured that you can meet standards. The lessons here are all aligned to national standards in the various content areas.
Halloween is coming. It's just around the corner. Here is a math activity for students in grades 4-8 in estimation. You can combine an activity (carving that pumpkin) that students like with a math lesson.

Do you have to do the Science Fair this year? I don't often recommend a "for-purchase" item, but this book for science in grades 6-12 might be worth the $13.50 cost.
