With the high stakes that are at risk with the No Child Left Behind Law, there are some very disturbing things happening in education. As a result of the increased emphasis on math, reading and science, instruction in the arts, foreign languages, social studies, and geography are suffering. The Council for Basic Education has published online a study that has recently been completed and I highly recommend it as "light" reading for those of us who worry about the arts in education:

Apple has been encouraging the integration of technology into the classroom for about 30 years (almost the length some of us have been teaching) and their website is still one of the premier sites for teachers to use in developing lesson plans.
